CHICK-FIL-A HYDRODEMOLITION When a Chick-fil-A is closed for renovation, mom is not happy. ATI crews and Hydrodemolition helped make mom happy again! This high-pressure water method of removing concrete was perfect for this restaurant renovation which would have taken longer using traditional methods.
One job requirement was preserving post-tension cables - hydrodemolition was a perfect fit for this scenario as the high-pressure water stream safely and efficiently removed the concrete but didn’t damage the main cable. This eliminated the need for destressing or restressing the cables, which can be costly and time-consuming.
Second, it was a safer and more controlled method of concrete removal. Hydrodemolition uses a precise water stream, allowing for targeted removal of specific areas without affecting surrounding structures. Additionally, hydrodemolition does not produce the same level of dust and debris as manual methods.
Hydrodemolition makes repairs last three times longer since it does not damage remaining structure, does not leave micro cracks, leaves a superior bonding surface, and does not damage the reinforcing. Because its remote controlled, it is safer than a worker using a 30-pound jack hammer.
Thanks to the speed and efficiency of Hydrodemolition, this Chick-fil-A renovation was done faster than in the past. What can ATI - and Hydrodemolition - do for you on your next project? Call 281-819-7470
WIRE SAWING MASSIVE ENGINE Recently, Aggregate Technologies completed a demolition and removal project of three huge compressor engines at a carbon plant. The engines surpassed restrictions for DoT permits, and it was not safe to use cutting torches in the removal because of the presence of hydrocarbons. ATI used wire sawing to get the job done.
Wire sawing is a method of cutting through concrete and other materials using a wire that is impregnated with diamond particles. This method is known for its precision and the ability to make clean cuts without causing too much dust or debris.
Once the engines were sawed from the concrete slab they were anchored to, the ATI team sawed them in half so they could be safely lifted onto the flatbed by crane.
Wire sawing is the perfect cutting method in many instances - and we are the experts. Call us today 281-819-7470
LUNCH AND LEARN - HYDRODEMOLITION The process, application, and technology of HydroDemolition
Who? Over 1,000 engineers & contractors have participated in this informative session from Belin Wills, a certified teacher with Aggregate Technologies. Aggregate Technologies is a specialty subcontractor that has been cutting and removing concrete via all methods for over 25 years.
What? A No-Cost Lunch & Learn for you and your team.
Where? At your office in-person or virtual, via Teams or Zoom.
When? Your schedule is king, but we usually present on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
WHY? This NO-COST class will give you a game-changing understanding of a more advanced method for removing concrete. This class will also help to explain WHEN and WHEN NOT to utilize this method for concrete removal or resurfacing projects. Get one on one time with an estimator so you can ask direct questions. After the class Aggregate Technologies will also provide you with correlating documents, plans and drawings that will be an excellent resource when considering this method. Engineers in attendance will earn 1 PDH.
