Theology 201: The Sacraments of Baptism and Communion

As part of our UP Season, Pastor Eric will be offering a four-week deep dive into an important theological topic. This year’s topic is sacraments. The sacraments of communion and baptism are an essential and foundational aspect of Christian discipleship as well as our life together as a community. But as important as these sacraments are, they are often not well understood. Many mature disciples struggle to understand what is going on when we participate in the sacraments and many parents have a hard time explaining them to their kids. This class will answer some of the common questions about the sacraments as well as help us utilize them to strengthen our faith. This will be a four-week class starting THIS Sunday, Feb 5th from 9:15-10:15 in South Chapel.

Neighborhood trash clean-up! TOMORROW Saturday, Feb 4, 10am-12pm. Meet at Columbia Bank parking lot. Anthem Coffee is partnering with us and providing snacks afterwards. Supplies will be provided, but bring trash grabbers if you have them. We encourage you to pre-register online for a quicker check-in process.

ECO National Gathering

Six of our staff attended the ECO National Gathering in Newport Beach, CA, this last week. God provided us with inspiring speakers and workshops, amazing worship, connections with ECO colleagues, and fun time together. We look forward to applying some of our takeaways - feel free to ask us about what we learned!

We are praying for the Lord to lead us to our next Minister of Visitation. This person will offer pastoral care to people in need as well as build a team to help our whole church care for one another. If you or someone you know might be a good fit for this position, please call Karen Ackerson to let us know or to ask any questions you might have.
