What's happening in and around PROOF...
Tonight - Let's all celebrate that January is just about over!! Come on by and check out all the new beer, wine and spirits we've stocked our shelves with. No rain or snow in the forecast today so it's smooth sailing over to Proof.
Saturday, January 28th - Somerville Winter Market @ The Armory 2:30 - 6:30pm. Who doesn't love a good produce market combined with an art/flea market! Go get some shopping done and if any adult libations are on your list, you know where to find us.
Sunday, January 29th - Playoff NFL Football !!!
Get a workout and some errands done in the morning then stop by Proof to pick up something fun. Go home, put on your sweatpants and get on the couch.... It's playoff time.

Citizen Cider - Strawberry Crush - "Light, fresh, crisp and full of berry flavor. This cider is made with fresh strawberries from their friends at Last Resort Farm in Monkton, VT". We love Citizen Ciders and this one does not disappoint. 5% abv
Burlington Beer Co - Stone Fence - Dark Lager - Rich in malt flavors, layers of Chocolate, Fig, Toasted Walnuts, and a clean Roast character. Hopped with traditional German and Czech-grown hops, that adds spice and a herbal element to our take on this European style Dark Lager. 5.5% abv
Widowmaker Brewing Co - Nothin' But A D.O.G Thang - This imperial smooth and hazy double IPA is the real deal. Hopped with Galaxy, Rakau, & Strata and loaded with oats, this beer will make you smile... especially with 8% abv.
Singlecut Brewing - Mighty Real - This new IPA is pretty in pink, with a nose of fresh cut tropical fruit, and a zip of floral tang from a big hibiscus infusion, pouring a luminous hazy ruby/pink. 5.6% abv

Papillon d'Orphee - A well balanced red wine delivering beautiful red berry fruits, savory spice and herbs, and a stony minerality that pervades all aspects of the wine.
Vegas Altas - Orange Wine - A lightly acidic deep orange natural wine that tastes like a strawberry puree, with notes of tangerine, apricots, and pineapples and . It's got some nice funk and tannins which I think you'll really enjoy.
Penley Estate - Phoenix - Cabernet Sauvignon - Hints of plum, blackberry and star anise with a bit of dark chocolate. The palate is intense and long supported by some nice tannins that coat the mouth.

Spirits of the week
GrandTen Distillery - South Boston Godfather - Taste of caramelized bananas and pecans on the first sip. The spirit is smooth through the middle, revealing a creamy caramel and brown sugar body and finishes with a slight malty spice.
Hendrick's Neptunia Gin - NEPTUNIA is a limited release that captures the magic of the sea, in a gin. Infused with an exquisite blend of locally sourced coastal botanicals and with a remarkable crisp citrus finish.

Sparkling Wine for the weekend
Eugene III - Champagne - Brut - A beautifully balanced champagne with ripe red fruit notes and a clean bubbly dry finish. It's a great Champagne and definitely a bottle worth keeping on hand.
