Our Sunday School is now offering Kids’s Art Classes
Vlad Guzner, a parishioner and a professional artist, plans to focus his lessons on the basics of visual arts and encourage a child’s creativity. Classes will enable kids to draw what they see and what they imagine. Composition, proportions, colors, shading techniques, etc. will be learned in a fun atmosphere. Children will work in black & white and colors using pencils, crayons, watercolor and more.
Weekly one-hour classes will be held on Sundays, after a short meal break in the gym. All the necessary materials will be provided, but children are encouraged to bring their favorite art supplies.
RSVP and questions please sent to Vlad at design.vg@gmail.com

Join us for the watching party of the big sports football game! *
Invite anyone you like, bring a snack or drink (this will be a potluck event), and enjoy the game in the company of your parish family.
* We are not sure we can legally say what game this is, as there were lawsuits by the league in the past.

As the cruel and unprovoked invasion of and war in Ukraine by Vladimir Putin tragically continues, we, as Christians living in the USA, will continue to pray and help in whatever way we can:
1. Pray - here is a link to three Prayers for Peace.
2. Help - on the first page of our website - www.singac.com - you will find information for ways you can help either financially or with items donated. The information will be periodically updated.
May the Good Lord guard and protect those who are being bombed and tortured, wounded and displaced, and grant eternal rest with His saints to all the lives already lost in this senseless war.

Sometimes, silence is better than any convincing and instructive conversations. Let us utilize words in moderation, remembering, "In the multitude of words, there is not lack of transgression" (Proverbs 10:19).

Registrations for a lot of Orthodox Summer Camps has already started. Here are the three Summer Camps that we recommend:
For a full list of Orthodox Summer Camps throughout the US, please click here.
As last year, children who are regular participants in the life of the Church (sacraments, services, events, etc.) will receive $100/child upon registering for an Orthodox Summer Camp.
The kids will also try to do a fundraiser around Pascha to raise more money for their Summer camps. Only those kids that will participate in the fundraiser will receive extra funds.

In those days, Jesus entered Jericho and was passing through it. There was a man named Zacchaeus, who was a chief tax-collector, and he was rich. He was trying to see who Jesus was, but could not because of the crowd, since he was short in stature. So Zacchaeus ran ahead and climbed a sycamore tree to see Jesus, Who was about to pass that way. When Jesus came to the place, He looked up, saw Zacchaeus, and said to him, “Zacchaeus, hurry and come down, for today I must stay at your house.” So Zacchaeus hurried down and received Jesus with joy. But when the people saw it, they began to grumble and said, “He has gone to be the guest of a man who is a sinner.” Then Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord, “Behold, half of my possessions, Lord, I will give to the poor. And if I have defrauded anyone of anything, I will pay back four times as much.” Then Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, because he too is a son of Abraham. For the Son of Man has come to seek out and to save the lost.”

My son Timothy, the saying is sure and worthy of full acceptance. For this purpose we both work hard and are rejected, because we have placed our hope in the living God, Who is the Savior of all people, especially of those who believe. These are the things you must command and teach. Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in speech and your way of life, in love, in spirit, in faith, and in purity. Until I arrive, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, encouragement, and teaching. Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of hands by the presbyters. Be attentive to these things, dedicate yourself to them completely, so that all may see your progress.
