The Science of Mentorship in STEMM: Evidence-Based Practices for Mentors and Trainees

January 31st at 1 PM ET

Melissa McDaniels, Ph.D., associate executive director and scientist at the Center for the Improvement of Mentored Experiences in Research at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, will lead an interactive session that will address the importance of mentor training, and explore resources and opportunities available for mentorship education.

Participants will:

  1. Learn about core findings cited in the National Academies report (2019), “The Science of Effective Mentorship In STEMM”
  2. Learn about national models for mentorship education and evidence of their effectiveness
  3. Explore resources and opportunities available for mentorship education
