Scholarship Month Arrives
Feb. 10-11 and Feb. 17-18
Scholarship Month at Regis University is here – we’re dedicating the entire month of February to recognizing top scholars from our incoming class of first-year students. Admitted students are invited to join us on Feb. 10-11 and/or 17-18 for our in-person Scholarship Month competitions. Awards range from $1,500 up to full tuition, and competitions are offered in the following categories: Health Care, Science and Mathematics, Business and Computer Science, Leadership, and Peace and Justice. We're also offering several additional scholarship opportunities which require only an essay and do not include an in-person component. If you know an admitted first-year student, encourage them to participate in Scholarship Month! Learn more at regis.edu/scholarshipmonth

Denver Expands Waste Collection Services
Denver introduced weekly recycling in January, making it easier for residents to help protect the environment. This summer, weekly composting will begin. As part of the recent change, Denver is charging users based on trash cart size: the smaller the cart, the greater the savings. Learn more at denvergov.org/expandedcollection

Denver Begins Bikeway Bikeway Construction
The Denver Department of Transportation and Infrastructure has begun the first phase of a program that will expand safe and comfortable transportation options in northwest Denver. The Northwest Community Transportation Network will help meet the city’s goal of creating 125 miles of new bikeways by 2023, offering safe options for walking, rolling, and bicycling through neighborhoods.
