Mass with Bishop Gruss, a faith parade, construction of a roller coaster, a “powderbuff” volleyball game, Catholic quiz bowl, a family carnival and much more … it must be time to celebrate Catholic Schools Week!
This year’s nationwide Catholic Schools Week celebration is happening from Jan. 29 to Feb. 4, and students in all 12 schools across the Catholic Diocese of Saginaw are getting ready to participate in an exciting week ahead.
This year’s theme is “Catholic Schools: Faith. Excellence. Service.” Each day also has a theme, such as “celebrating our parishes,” “celebrating our nation” and “celebrating our students.”
“Catholic Schools Week is one of our students’ favorite weeks of the year,” said Cormac Lynn, superintendent of Catholic schools. “It’s a time to celebrate the contributions of our Catholic schools – past and present – and their impact on our students and families, parishes and greater community. It’s a week to pray and learn together, engage in service side-by-side, and each day is highlighted by some fun and exciting experiences that make the week extra special.”
In keeping with the theme highlighted above, schools will observe Catholic Schools Week with . . .
