If you are thinking about running for a seat, the candidate info session is for you. Sign up for the January 21 session and learn how you can run for local office on your LA Neighborhood Council!

Learn how to create a successful campaign using free and low-cost outreach strategies and how to fill out your candidate application, with the City of Los Angeles Department of Neighborhood Empowerment and the LA City Clerk’s Elections Division.

New Crisis Residential Treatment Program Open House

You’re Invited to our Open House for the New Crisis Residential Treatment Program at MLK Behavioral Health Center

Thursday, February 2, 2023

3 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Operated by Valley Star Behavioral Health, the new 16-bed Crisis Residential Treatment Program (CRTP) at the Martin Luther King Behavioral Health Center in South LA is a 24/7 intensive treatment program for adults ages 18 and over. It will serve those dealing with mental health challenges or those experiencing a mental health crisis. The center is located on the expanding MLK health campus near Compton.

The voluntary program provides a therapeutic homelike setting for those experiencing a behavioral health crisis. The CRTP includes intensive treatment for those being discharged from county hospital psychiatric emergency services, inpatient psychiatric units, and mental health urgent care centers. Individuals live on-site for several weeks on average while they receive counseling and other supports.
