User Agent Switcher
As marketers and SEOs, we sometimes need to test and debug how our websites are performing or how they look to different user agents.
For example, does a website look or perform any differently with Googlebot mobile vs desktop, and how does it look with Android Oreo?
Well, there's a Chrome extension for that. I find the User-Agent Switcher for Chrome to be really useful for this.
While it is true that it is possible to do this directly in Chrome without an extension using Overrides, as John Mueller pointed out (thanks, John) but, there's another reason why I like using the extension.
It seems I'm not the only one either, as Dan Nutter from Journey Further commented on LinkedIn:
Features like the ability to share user agent strings with colleagues allow for greater collaboration and often help you come to a resolution faster too.
Have a play with the User-Agent Switcher for Chrome extension and see what you think.
