Dear Friends,

Happy Saturday! I hope this email finds you warm and well. It has been a tumultuous week for my family, as a few of us have been under the weather, but I am staying healthy so far and was able to keep things moving in Annapolis.
LEGISLATIVE UPDATES
You can track all of my legislation here

✔️HB0146, which is a cross-file with Senator Bailey, will have its hearing on Tuesday. This bill expands the list of offenders who would be subject to lifetime sexual offender supervision. It was filed in response to a horrible incident in St. Mary's County. You can follow the progress of the bill by clicking the bill number above.

✔️This week, I dropped HB0447, which is our County Commissioner In-District Voting bill. All the bill says is that if there are districts, the votes must come from that district. People should have the ability to choose who represents and advocates for them at every level of government. We conduct every other election this way.
OTHER NEWS
✔️ On Monday, I was able to visit Dr. Todd Eberly's Maryland Politics class at St. Mary's College of Maryland. This visit has become a fairly regular one, and I enjoy interacting with Dr. Eberly and the students very much. I will be seeing them again later this session when they come to Annapolis.

✔️ I participated in Governor Moore's Veterans Roundtable, during which we discussed several bills the Governor will be introducing. The first is the Keep Our Heroes Home Act, which is a tax cut for retired veterans. The second is the Healthcare for Heroes Act, which provides free health and dental care for members of the National Guard and their families. I will be supporting both of these measures.
