Mid Training: Quantity vs. Quality

Over the next few weeks, the focus of the newsletter will be on topics one will encounter when they are in the middle of training. This week, we have a re-post from last year about Quantity vs. Quality. Both areas are critical for a successful and consistent training cycle.

With 12 weeks left until the Glass City Marathon, this is the middle of my training cycle. Physically, I’m feeling fresh and have had solid long days over the last two weeks. My fresh physical feeling is likely because I’ve cut back a bit due to schedule capacity and mental exhaustion in other parts of my life. My plan is to increase my mileage per run over the next few weeks to prepare for the final eight weeks of training.
