"Okay, campers, rise and shine. Don't forget your booties because it's cold out there today. It's cold out there every day. What is this, Miami Beach?"

Did that give you flashbacks? A creepy feeling? Did you for one second think you were re-living yesterday, Groundhog Day? My guess is, no, but this was a twist of nostalgia, no? To help us remember what yesterday really means. IT'S COLD, and it's gonna be cold, off and on, til spring, that's it. No more predictions or future-casts or any of that technological hub-bub that is wrong more often than not (which probably isn't true... actually a whole lot more accurate than any of us think.) But, let's keep the groundhog though. Seems like a ceremony that doesn't hurt anyone. As far as I know the groundhog isn't hurt and if anything, celebrated as a lovable little rat.  Either way, be nice to others. Do nice things FOR others. Don't indulge. Practice those 3 things and you too can be like Bill Murray. I think. 
 

It really is a series of moments, life that is. One after another, some great, some awful, but together they fall in line, just as they should, or just as they will, or just as they might, or just as they could have … That is life. Moments. Created in part, by you. Me. Us. One. Driven by an incalculable number of situations and tragedies and triumphs and failures….those are called Moments. That is life. I cannot be the first and I’m certain will not be the last to write and/or speak upon such a topic, "life being a series of moments" that is. To some, a comedic twirl of same ole same ole worn out DMV poster “day at a time” quotes that will be easily dismissed and ignored — BUT, I say to you nodding off listeners WAKE UP, for the moment has come! What moment is that? It’s up to you! Today is “choose your own moment” day! It’s easy to do! First, decide to make today a moment day. Next, (maybe the most important) go moment!! And that’s it! Whatever you did doesn’t really matter. You had a moment, giiirl ..or boy.  Point is YOU chose your own adventure, your own moment! What are the first 3 letters in moment???? MOM!! And do you do what your momma tells you, right? Okay sorry I got sidetracked.. had a moment one might say.

Think about it. 

It’s not a bad idea to have a bad idea. But, a bad idea would be to have no idea at all. And, having no idea can lead to some pretty serious, sometimes life-altering consequences. See, the idea is, think for yourself, be rationale, be fair, be compassionate, but be firm. Not a bad idea if you ask me. And, if you have no idea what I’m talking about right now— here’s an idea: Stop reading. Stop listening. This isn’t forced content. This is a choice you make every Friday morning when your email “dings” at 7:15AM and you immediately check to see just what that ding is! (Subscribe here if you want to see and hear more.)  Your choice was to rise and read (very wise) but be sure you’re reading the right stuff, otherwise bad ideas will pour over you like the hot honey you used in bed during sexy time..yes, that was a hot mess (literally) and. … wait for it… a BAD IDEA. I never did find the contact that popped out of my left eye when she poured the first little drip from the honey pot. Where it landed is irrelevant … it hurt. It was hot. It was a bad idea, making it to the list of bad ideas caused by, well alcohol probably.. there’s too many of those to recount or list. You’ve got plenty of your own and to that I say to you, turn those bad ideas into good ones. That’s all you gotta do. Also, perspective, context, and the thc God left for us to taste are all important when trying to conjure up a good idea; one worth sustaining … see, that’s it for me. I want something to be sustainable .. here forever. Reoccurring if you will. I have half a mind to do just that. The other half? That's left to ponder, pontificate, scratch your head (not your ass) and really get lost in thought. If you're careful a GOOD idea will slap you on the cheek, and as the Bible says, turn that cheek, keep turnin', keep going... BAM. Look at you now! Staring that slapper right in the eyes. Eye for an eye? Not today, Old Testament. We're in 2023. We give awards for effort. So, give it a shot. Worth a try, ain't it? Good idea. Maybe.
