EDI Webinar: An update from the EDI Units Working Group
Tuesday 21 February 2023 at 2 pm EST (11 am PST)
Conveying the units of a measurement accurately and understandably is an essential component of generating reproducible data. The EDI Units working group is examining available unit technologies and discussing ways these can be incorporated into EML metadata. In this webinar, we will present progress working with QUDT and UCUM, such as analyzing current datasets and mapping their units to these systems. We will also present potential paths forward for further discussion.
New EDI Publication
This is EDI's "evaluation" publication — sort of a summary of the last several years of progress.

Arts at environmental field science sites survey 2022—FSML / LTER / NERR
The Organization of Biological Field Stations (OBFS) is surveying Field Stations and Marine Labs (FSMLs), Long Term Ecological Research sites (LTERs), and National Estuarine Research Reserves (NERRs) on their existing, planned, and developing arts and humanities programming. Their goal is to help each site identify goals with your arts and humanities programs, make those programs more effective, network to support each other, and find funding to support those aims.
