So to introduce myself, as many of you know, I’m Cathy. Some fun facts that you may or may not know about me are . . .

YOU KNOW:  I’m from England.

YOU MIGHT NOT KNOW: I found a passion for running after moving to Westchester from Brooklyn. Prior to seven years ago I had never ran more than 5miles. Now I’m on my way to getting my Fourth Abbott star by running London in April. 

YOU DON’T KNOW:  I‘m generally not a winter runner and I’m definitely not self motivated. I have been known to show up to runs and then turn around and go home if I don’t find the group. That is why I’m so glad to have found the group that call themselves New Ro Runners. I’m so grateful and know I wouldn’t be where I am today without you guys. So thank you and look forward to meeting all the new comers this year. Oh another thing you might not now about me: I’m very chatty, love social events, love to travel and hear about people’s travels. So if you happen to see me out there make sure you say hi!

Running Route

Saturday, February 25th - 7:50 am
Ridgeway School parking lot in White Plains (corner of Mamaroneck Avenue and Ridgeway)

Three Stages: 3, 6 and 9 miles

Stage 1:

• Exit the parking lot and turn right on Ridgeway to North Street (Route 127)

• Left on North to Bryant

• Left on Bryant to Hathaway

• Left on Hathaway (which runs through the old Ridgeway Country Club) to Gedney Esplanade

• Right on Gedney Esplanade to Mamaroneck

• Stage 1 and Stage 2/3 runners split here

Stage 1 runners only:

• Left on Mamaroneck and head back to the school

Stage 2/3 runners:

• Right on Mamaroneck to Bryant

• Left on Bryant to Old Mamaroneck Road (Route 125)

• Left on Old Mamaroneck to Ridgeway

• Stage 2 and 3 runners split here

Stage 2 runners only:

• Left on Ridgeway and head back to the school

Stage 3 runners only:

• At Ridgeway, when stage 3 runners turn left, turn right on Soundview Avenue

• Follow Soundview to Post Road (Route 22)

• Right on Post Road to Maple

• Bear right onto Maple to Davis

• Right on Davis to Hartsdale Avenue

• Left on Hartsdale to Old Mamaroneck

• Right on Old Mamaroneck to Ridgeway

• Left on Ridgeway and head back to the school

Sunday, February 27th - 7:50 am

South County Trail
Park in the Farragut Avenue Lot
Saw Mill River Parkway entrance/exit ramp at Farragut Ave

This route is an excellent way to see members running up and down the trail.  It is perfectly manicured and you can run for infinite miles!
