CHEAPEST, NICEST HOTELS IN NYC
We love going to the City for a night or two, but hate paying exorbitant rates for a hotel room. We will often use the app HotelTonight. For example, one of the hotels on the following list is only $110 tonight. We also use HotWire.com which often offers 4 star hotels at 2 star prices.
Nevertheless, the following article from CN Traveler can help travels who enjoy the City but are looking for more reasonable accommodations
New York City is superlative in many ways: it has some of the best restaurants, theatres, museums, and boutique shopping in the US. But all of this can come at a price; New York is also top of the list when it comes to the average price of a hotel room. And while some of the city’s most famed properties — The Plaza Hotel or The Four Seasons Hotel New York, for example – may charge an eye-watering sum per night, those grande dames are hardly the only game in town. The five boroughs are also home to a delightful collection of affordably priced boltholes that sacrifice neither location nor style for their nightly fee. In fact, many of New York City’s cheapest, nicest hotels are some of the most beloved by locals. Unlike some of the city’s more expensive chains, these boutique properties welcome both neighborhood regulars and travelers to take advantage of their public spaces, restaurants, and bars.
Below, we’ve rounded up some of our favorites across a variety of neighborhoods and boroughs. Whether you’re looking for the newest outpost of a chic hotel brand in one of Brooklyn’s most charming quarters, or apartment-style living in the heart of downtown Manhattan, we guarantee there’s a place on our list that’s perfect for your next vacation on a budget. FIND YOUR BEST WEEKEND - CHATHAM BARS INN
Cape Cod is the body of land that extends from Massachusetts into the Atlantic like a beckoning finger. Its year round population of 200,000+ explodes in the summer as Bostonians seek to escape the city and New Englanders flock to the beaches.
Among the most picturesque of Cape Cod towns, Chatham is home to the Chatham Bars Inn, a magical oceanfront resort that can serve as a romantic escape for two or a memorable vacation for the whole family. Built at the turn of the century, the property sits perched on a bluff overlooking Pleasant Bay and the Atlantic. A recent $100 million renovation saw guest rooms, public spaces, the cottages and the restaurant refurbished and refreshed.
Set on 25 exquisitely manicured acres, the Inn offers luxury accommodations, excellent food, outstanding service and enough to do to keep even the little ones happy. READ MORE
