Let’s be calm!
After a very successful 'Wellness Wednesday' last week, we created a calming corner in our classroom. The year 1 pupils listened and responded to the story The 'Worrysaurus' about a tiny dinosaur who made a happy box to help him feel better. We made our own class happy box and placed it in our calming corner.

Faith Diary
This week’s Gospel continues with the teachings Jesus gave his followers during his famous ’Sermon on the Mount.’ Like last week’s Gospel, it reminds us that being a true Christian is never easy - it always involves being counter-cultural, going against the social current rather than simply and unthinkingly doing what everybody else does. At the heart of this Gospel lies the core of Christ’s entire teaching: we must love and pray not only for our friends, but also for our enemies. We all find it easy to love our friends and families, the people we feel close to and feel loved by in return, but, as always, Jesus asks us for more. He asks us to care for- and about - those who not only do not love us, but who may actively dislike or even hate us and wish us harm. Humanly, this seems impossible, but learning to forgive and wish only good in return to those who harm us, is possible - if we do it in His love. It requires a long journey, in that love, towards the grace of forgiveness. It is not an easy journey, but if we dare to call ourselves Christians, it is one we must all attempt.

Time Is Ticking!
Class 2P have been learning about time this week. We found that the best way to learn is by using our own arms to pretend to be a clock.

The Big Brad Wolf!
Year 6 had a great morning undertaking some drama activities as part of our Literacy unit based on The Grimm Tales. Pupils read and interpreted a script based on the Big Brad Wolf which was a twist to the much loved original fairy tale story – The Three Little Pigs.
The pupils surprised us with their acting skills – we have a very talented bunch! Well done Year 6.

Welcome To Our Office
Check out the office set up in our Nursery 1 and 2 classrooms. Our office set up encourages the child to role play which is beneficial for developing language and communication. Role play also encourages imagination, creativity, social and emotional development, supports physical development and aids problem solving.
The children love it and it is great to see them enjoying it and having fun together.
