Matthew 13:24-36 || Kingdom Parables: 5 Points
The 5 Points about the Kingdom of God:
God Created Good - Satan brings Sin
Removing Sin Removes all who are - So God forgives sin to free all
who will
The Good are Gathered - The Bad are Burned
The Kingdom Breaks through in You to Break Forth from You
Give it All to Get it All
Day 5 - Point 5 Devotion
Give it All to Get it All (Matthew 13:44-46)
44 “The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found
it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that
field.
45 “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. 46
When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and
bought it.
Both of these parables illustrate someone giving all they had to possess all they
ever wanted. If you truly desire to be a healthy and mature tree leading people to
Christ and bearing good fruit, you need to be willing to surrender and give up
things that may be getting in the way.
Question: Is there anything that God is pointing out to you as something that is
getting in the way of you doing more fully what God desires for you? When you
identify that thing, you need to do four things.
Pray: Pray God to help you let go of “it”.
Plan: Plan how to remove “it”. Maybe set goals on what changes you may
need to make to get to where you want to be. This often will take
discussion with key people in your life.
Accountability: Set goals and figure out who or what is going to help you
make this a reality and make it sustainable.
Act: Put it all into action and get started.
