New Link for February Issue of Connections

After the February issue of AJCU's bi-monthly online magazine, Connections, went out yesterday afternoon, a technical update was made that accidentally wiped out the URLs to each individual article featured in the issue. Our sincere apologies! News from Jesuit Colleges & Universities

The University of Scranton named Dr. Michelle Gonzalez Maldonado its provost and senior vice president for academic affairs; John Carroll University named former NBC News correspondence Pete Williams as Journalist in Residence; two Saint Joseph's University professors were featured on the AMDG podcast of the Jesuit Conference of Canada and the United States; and Gonzaga University and Santa Clara University both hosted events to mark Black History Month.

And after last week's issue of AJCU Higher Ed News, we learned of several more schools that have offered messages of consolation in light of the recent earthquakes in Turkey and Syria: Fordham University, Gonzaga University and Regis University.

Tuesday, February 21: Ignatian Foundations – A Six-Week Introduction to the Ignatian Worldview (online series sponsored by Ignatius House Jesuit Retreat Center in Atlanta)
Tuesday, February 28: The Francis Factor at Ten Years: A Tenth Anniversary Celebration on a Decade of Dialogue and Leadership (in-person, livestreamed event in Washington, D.C. sponsored by the Initiative on Catholic Social Thought and Public Life at Georgetown University)
Wednesday, March 8: Solidarity on Tap: Unleashing Solidarity by Undoing the Knots of Catholic Anti-Blackness (in-person event in Baltimore, sponsored by the Ignatian Solidarity Network)

And save the date! On Thursday, March 9, the Ignatian Spirituality Project (ISP) will celebrate its 25th anniversary with a virtual event featuring Rev. James Martin, S.J., writer Mary Karr, and more.
