It's Happening - Carnival Milwaukee!

UEDA's annual fundraiser celebrates Milwaukee's diversity through food, music, and dance while supporting the local businesses, individuals and organizations that contribute to the economic and cultural vitality of our city. This is the 15th Carnival Milwaukee event - and we've got a lot happening to celebrate!

Every year we present a Bridge Builder Award to recognize a community member or partner for their efforts to honor diversity and connect people and places through the expression of culture in food, art, music, and space.

This year we are recognizing Riverworks Development Corporation for their commitment to connecting neighborhoods and residents through creative place-making, economic activity with small, diverse businesses, and cultural community events in Harambee and Riverwest.

Their key projects and activities include the development and management of the Beerline Trail, 53212 Marketplace, creative corridor activity, and an array of community events utilizing these newly created spaces.

Join us for a FREE virtual program on February 21st to celebrate Fat Tuesday and present our Bridge Builder Award. You will also have the opportunity "build bridges" via virtual speed networking, learn about the history of Carnival, and hear special announcements about our live Carnival Milwaukee on March 3rd!

CARNIVAL MILWAUKEE CELEBRATION
Friday, March 3rd | 5:30 PM-9:30 PM | The Historic Pritzlaff

Dressed in cultural attire and Mardi Gras-style costumes, guests of Carnival Milwaukee will enjoy live music, flavorful dishes from dozens of local restaurants, and a large dance floor with lessons and live performances!

We will also have a raffle, an interactive photo-booth, and other festivities. In 2020, we had nearly 350 people join us and we look forward to returning in person to an event that is bigger than ever!
