The work of the African Independent Ethics Committee (AIEC) is to protect research participants, families and communities. AIEC is expanding. Nominations should be emailed to asw@africasocialwork.net for these positions:
1. A community representative
2. A community practitioner/worker
3. African cultural experts
4. African indigenous leader
5. Spiritual leader (African spirituality, Christian spirituality or Islamic spirituality)
6. A health worker
7. A legal person
8. An teacher
9. A person with a disability
