Our next club meeting will be this Wednesday, Feb. 15th at 6 PM, at L1050. Scott from the NGSE (New Generations Service Exchange) will give a talk about this great program for university students.
Lethbridge Community Animal Services
Over the weekend, we volunteered at the Lethbridge Community Animal Services to hang out with some adorable cats and dogs. Perhaps the most important personnel pictured is Rooster, which is now our (un)official Rotaract dog!
Last year, our club volunteered and participated in the Secret 3K run/walk, and we want to do it again this year! Held during the week of International Women's Day, we run or walk during the Secret 3K to celebrate our right to be free to run.
The event starts at 6:30 PM, but we will meet a little earlier at the Nicholas Sheran Lake Picnic Shelter at 6 PM on Wednesday, March 8th to volunteer and participate in the event. If you need a ride from the University to the park, please let us know in the WhatsApp group chat.
Volunteering could involve being a race guide, setting up snacks, and bin registrations, among others. We will also have the opportunity to walk or run, and maybe even take a group picture at the end!
This event is for everyone, so feel free to invite your friends and family!
