Vicar Libby’s sermon this Sunday was one of grace and insight. She discussed Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount.
Vicar Libby is a self-admitted child of divorce, which is not uncommon these days. And she discusses how she felt when Jesus said, “anyone who divorces his wife, except on the ground of unchastity, causes her to commit adultery.”
Yet Vicar Libby goes on to affirm the life-giving nature of the 10 commandments. Then she asks the question I asked you at the start of this email, will you pass life’s litmus test? Are you life-giving in your interactions with others? Or do you hold back? Or do you maybe take more than you give?
Vicar Libby is calling all of us to be more intentional in our lives by being life-giving.
