Welcome to our 19th Eurythmy Webinar Series!
My intention and hope with these online classes is to make eurythmy accessible to anyone, anywhere, including especially those who might not be able to find a live class.

These classes are born out of my experience that any and all eurythmy brings health, healing and spiritual growth. After all: why should that be available to only those who have regular teachers?

So what is eurythmy? Please allow me to write few more words of orientation and inspiration.
Inspired by the work of Rudolf Steiner, every movement in Eurythmy reveals and expresses the human being as have a body, a soul, and also—very importantly—a spirit.

We are spiritual beings. We have been born out of the spiritual worlds, the worlds of pure beings, that exists even beyond the visible stars.
We were there before you were born and will return there when we die.
And every night, we again enter the spiritual world with our soul and spirit, and while our bodies finds rest and renewal in sleep, our souls and spirits find new strength in the spiritual worlds.
At birth, and when we awaken every morning, we clothe ourselves in our bodies, our physical, etheric, and astral sheathes. These are the garments that our spiritual core lives in.
And all day, every day, as we live in these bodies, these sheathes, we need to be well integrated. When they all work together, we are healthy and strong. We can learn, we can speak, we are coordinated. We can feel the richness of life, and learn the lessons of love. We can work, using our bodies for deeds. All this serves the purpose of life on earth: that we become ever more individuated, ever more spiritually aware, ever more loving.
In the practice of eurythmy, we have an art form that lets us become aware of all of these sheathes and how we inhabit them. We cultivate an awareness of our spiritual ground.
We learn how to use our physical bodies in a healthy way, so that life flows through us, instead of stiffness.
We become acquainted with the dynamic nature of etheric forces by learning to move with fluid, healthy movements, instead of mechanical, jerky movements.
And every movement of eurythmy is completely penetrated with feeling and experience. Nothing is accidental!
But most essential of all is that all that we do is permeated with deliberate, spiritually conscious forces. The gestures of eurythmy are all formative, as if we are speaking words and sentences with our arms, telling stories. Every movement in speech eurythmy is a sound of language. Thus, you will learn how a sizzling sound S is worlds away from a hard, brittle K, a fluid W or L, or a slow, warm M. Each of these meaning-filled sounds is an expression of the original Word of Creation, the Logos.
And so, whether you are new to eurythmy or deeply experienced, I hope that through this new module you will find new and exciting inspirations and exercises for your personal eurythmy practice.
