Matthew 13:24-36 || Kingdom Parables: 5 Points
The 5 Points about the Kingdom of God:
God Created Good - Satan brings Sin
Removing Sin Removes all who are - So God forgives sin to free all who will
The Good are Gathered - The Bad are Burned
The Kingdom Breaks through in You to Break Forth from You
Give it All to Get it All
Day 2 - Point 2 Devotion
Removing Sin Removes all who are - So God forgives sin to free all who
will (Matthew 13:28b-29)
28b …“The servants asked him, ‘Do you want us to go and pull [the weeds] up?’
29 “ ‘No,’ he answered, ‘because while you are pulling the weeds, you may
uproot the wheat with them.
Because sin has tainted all of God’s good creation. To effectively remove
that sin would require destroying everything in which that sin was contained -
which includes you or me. (ref. Romans 3:23).
Instead of destroying sin, God has sought to forgive sin and restore his
kingdom one person at a time. (Ref. Ephesians 1:7, Acts 3:19, Matthew 26:28)
Question: God saves us the moment we receive His forgiveness. After that
moment Jesus sets us free, little by little, as we give over our hurts and areas of
sin. Is there anywhere in your life where you need healing or freedom, so that
the Kingdom of God can become even more alive in you? (To help in this you
can pray Psalm 139:23-24)
