Dear <<First Name>>, here is the National eResearch Newsletter.
National eResearch Newsletter - February 2023
Message from AeRO:

We’re excited to announce that AeRO is in the process of revising its membership model to make membership more accessible and affordable to organisations across the sector.  We’ll be announcing more information over the coming weeks, and look forward to welcoming you as AeRO members this year.

Following on from the success of last year’s eResearch Conference, planning is already well underway for eRes2023 in October.  We’ll be releasing details of the dates and location shortly.

We're also seeking input from the sector regarding the theme for this year's National AeRO Forum – see https://aero.edu.au/forum/ – AI and ChatGPT are hot topics – but we’d love to receive your suggestions via email to loretta@aero.edu.au.

Loretta Davis - AeRO Executive Officer.

Intersect has now launched the Advanced Analytics & AI Platform!
Managing, processing and analysing big and complex data are becoming more critical and valuable for research.  However, many researchers do not have sufficient data skills and expertise and thus face many challenges throughout the research workflow.

The Advanced Analytics & AI Platform was designed as a solution to this problem.  The new service provides access to a team of experts in advanced analytics, data science, and AI methodologies combined with cutting-edge digital tools and technologies to give researchers full end-to-end support for data-intensive research across critical areas of the research workflow.

Shaping Research Software: An Interview with Michael Roach
As part of our Research Software Agenda for Australia, the ARDC is working with the research community to recognise research software as a first-class output of research.  Each month we talk to a leading research software engineer about their experiences and best-practice tips in creating, sustaining and improving software for research.

Continuing the series, we spoke with the winner of The Australian Bioinformatics and Computational Biology Society (ABACBS) who won the ‘Torsten Seemann’ award for an Outstanding Bioinformatics Software Developer.  This award is sponsored by the ARDC to promote the development and sharing of bioinformatics methodologies broadly.
