¤ Ant has a Bee in his Bonnet ¤ Today's Bee: An amusing personal win
Here's a brief one for you — mind the bee doesn't sting you.
For a little while I've been working on resurrecting a procedure which Ron and David Mayo instigated.
It's based on the book which Ron wrote The Way to Happiness and is called the Happiness Rundown.
It's a marvellous piece of forgotten tech. A precious but tender little gem. So I'm introducing it sort of surreptitiously (left hand behind my back sort of thing). In other words a very low gradient. It contains a number of precepts which if followed should give you a happier life.
The first precepts concern the first dynamic, including "Take care of yourself". I've just started having it run on me again (it was run on me in 1981) so I have run that take care of yourself twice and gone a bit further. And yet I didn't feel it was probably in place.
There are a number of steps to the running of each of the precepts, basically taking of surface charge and then any charge you may have as a result of being in touch with somebody who was atrociously "negligent" in keeping a precept.
So I wondered whether we had missed a person.
No, I hadn't.
It wasn't a person. It was Pubs Org (the part of Scientology I was a slave to from 1968 to 1972).
When I got that nailed down a number of things fell in place.
Get on ACE by just sending a message to the following address: Ants-Communication-Exchange+subscribe@groups.io . Just send it — a roboty thingame receives it, ignoring everything but the address and puts you on the list. Bob's your uncle.
Your application will probably land on my plate for approval, and I will gladly approve it as you are on Books Weekly.
If you not on ACE because you are afraid of a load of ACE messages filling up your inbox there is a solution to that.
When you get your first ACE message go to the very very bottom and click on the bottom item on the left "Your Subscription". That will give you 6 alternatives. I suggest you click on "Daily Summary".
With that choice every morning (perhaps at 6 o'clock) you'll get an email with list of messages sent out in the last 24 hours to ACE members. Just click on the ones you find interesting and the whole thread (messages with the same subject will duck up.
