ON THE HOMEFRONT
The home front seems more important now than it ever has. I look at the picture below of us at the aquarium 14 years ago and I can’t believe these boys are about to leave the house. Three of my kids are in high school and on their way out. Gabe will graduate from college in 4 months. I’ve started meeting with my boys every Monday after school to disciple them. We are going through a book to help prepare them for life as young men. Mostly it is a time for me to look them in the eyes, remind them that I love them, and encourage them to grow into the men that God has created them to be.
This is a transition that I’ve walked through with countless parents over the years but I am now experiencing it from a different perspective in a very personal way. But it reminds me that teenagers around the world are making this transition every year. They all need someone to walk with them through these key years, helping them learn to know and follow Jesus. They need someone to tell them that they matter, that they are crated for a purpose. Thank you so much for investing in this work that we do. We’re so grateful to have you beside us as we train and equip our leaders to be a light in the lives of students everywhere.
We went to our first Reinesance Festival as a family.
