The Venues is 10 years old this month, and we are having a party! And YOU are invited.

Do you remember the words of Clarence the Angel to George Bailey in the classic “It’s A Wonderful Life” - “You’ve been given a great gift, George, a chance to see what the world would be like without you.”  

George saw that the world was better because he was born. 
I see that the world is better because The Venues was born.

The Venues was born to help people give birth to a new kind of Christianity. Denise and other women tell me birth and pain go together. Miranda Kerr writes of her own labor and delivery, “I actually thought I was going to die at one point and left my body. I was looking down on myself - the pain was so intense. I kept thinking, ‘How do women do this?’”    

The controversy experienced by The Venues and others on this quest is painful. There is, though, a connection between pain and new life.

I am inspired by these words of Maya Anglou, “Let choice whisper in your ear and love murmur in your heart. Be ready. Here comes life.”
