The Graduate School is pleased to recognize members of our community who go above and beyond to create an inclusive environment that fosters success. We are currently seeking nominations for our annual Ver Steeg and McBride Awards
 
Four award recipients will be announced in March and will each receive a certificate of recognition and a $1,000 monetary award.

The nomination period is open until Monday, March 6 at 5:00 PM. All members of the graduate community at Northwestern are welcome to nominate individuals for each award. Please direct any questions to TGS Events & Engagement Manager Anthony Mangini.
Ver Steeg Awards
Named for Clarence Ver Steeg, PhD, former Northwestern University Professor in History and Dean of The Graduate School from 1975 to 1986, this award annually recognizes one outstanding graduate faculty member and one non-faculty staff member for excellence in working with students of The Graduate School.

Please complete the faculty and/or staff nomination forms to nominate an outstanding graduate faculty and/or a staff member.
McBride Awards
Named for Dwight A. McBride, PhD, former Northwestern University Daniel Hale Williams Professor of African American Studies, English & Performance Studies, Dean of The Graduate School, and Associate Provost for Graduate Education from 2010 to 2017, these awards recognize one outstanding TGS student and one postdoctoral trainee who go above and beyond in any or all of the areas of diversity, service, and engagement—the strategic priorities McBride worked to foster in the graduate community at Northwestern.
