Planned Power Outage for Some Residents on February 19

February 16, 2022 – On Sunday, February 19, ITC (the owners of high voltage transmission lines throughout the state) will be doing work on its system in Midland. This work will cause a Consumers Energy substation to be down from 12 a.m. - 4 a.m. and a power outage for customers served by this substation.

This power interruption will affect addresses that fall mainly north of US10 between Sturgeon Road and the Midland-Bay County line up to the Shaffer Road area. Please note that this outage is not related to Consumers Energy's system, but this work will also help improve the reliability of the power grid in Midland County.

Postcards were mailed last week to Consumers Energy customers that will be impacted by this outage.

Residents with questions about this planned outage should contact Consumers Energy at (800) 477-5050.
