Dear <<First Name>>

I hope you are well. We are delighted to share our Spring newsletter with you. This newsletter aims to give you an update on the progress we are making thanks to your support.

We are very proud of our journey over the course of the last year. In 2022, we trained 28 water entrepreneurs, supported 7 with water, sanitation, hygiene and nutrition, and we repaired and maintained 309 pumps, providing 72,835 people with access to reliable safe water.

As a Pump Aid supporter, I thought you may be interested to know that to celebrate International Women's Day and World Water Day this month, we are running a match funding campaign to raise awareness and funds to empower women to make sustainable change through water in Malawi.

Our Matchfunding March campaign is live

Thanks to a generous donor, any donation made in March will be doubled up to a total of £30,000 making your donation worth twice as much to the communities we serve.! With this funding, we could support 30 women's farmers groups, 3 entrepreneurs and 300 children at 3 CBCCs.

Empower women in Malawi this International Women’s Day (8th March)

For women and girls in Malawi, there are many obstacles to accessing water, sanitation, and hygiene due to deep entrenched patriarchy in the country which exacerbates the issue of gender inequality. Women and girls also face barriers to education and employment due to poverty, low water pump functionality and young marriages leading to unplanned pregnancies and school dropouts.

Celebrate World Water Day (22nd March)

Pump Aid’s mission is to end water poverty in Malawi by 2030. We aim to increase sustainable access to water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) in rural communities to positively impact the health, education and nutrition outcomes of millions of people living in poverty.

On World Water Day, and throughout the year, we raise awareness of the importance of clean water to communities. We also work with our corporate partners to secure funding to keep water flowing.
