Worcester Environmental Group February 2023 Newsletter

Hi <<First Name>>

Lots of exciting news this month:

  1. We have our first part-time paid job: a volunteer coordinator - are you interested?

  2. We are ready to start way marking the Wild about Worcester Way - your help is needed

  3. We are ready to install our first interpretation boards along the River Severn - can you help?

1. Part-time Volunteer Coordinator Job

We are looking for a proactive individual who shares our passion and wants to help expand our reach and increase our impact, at an exciting time of growth in the organisation.

If you are interested, please have a look at the job description here.

2. Way Marking of Wild about Worcester Way

We now have all the way markers ready to install on the Wild about Worcester Way. We will be going out with a small number of volunteers for a few hours at a time over a period of a few weeks. Great company. Great to be outdoors in our beautiful green spaces. We will soon have a launch date for this 12 mile wildlife corridor, late April to mid May of this year. We need your help, even if it’s just a few hours.

3. Interpretation Boards along the River Severn on the Wild about Worcester Way

We need just a couple of volunteers to attach two of these panels to stands that our Building Block team have made and then help us install them on site along the River Severn. Can you help, <<First Name>>?

The QR code on the interpretation panels link to these fifteen REALLY inspiring videos that tell us all about the section of the Wild about Worcester Way along part of the River Severn.

Please contact Paul on info@theweg.org.uk or telephone 07742 111239 if you wish to get involved in making Worcester a place where we can thrive together in a flourishing natural environment.
