Multi-million-dollar upgrade scheduled for Moss Vale STP
Great news!
4,000 homes across Moss Vale can soon look forward to improved sewerage services as a result of our success in securing $25 million in NSW Government funding to upgrade the Moss Vale Sewage Treatment Plant (STP).
Once works are completed, capacity will be doubled and will be able to accommodate anticipated future growth for years to come.
The funding will enable us to install new bioreactors, clarifiers, filter cells and a UV disinfection system. Together these additions will help to significantly increase the level of treatment the STP is able to provide now and into the future.
The Moss Vale STP Upgrade Project was one of ten regional projects to secure support as part of the latest round of the NSW Government’s Accelerated Infrastructure Fund. A great outcome for our Shire!
Detailed design works are well advanced, and we expect to advertise for tender later this year with a view towards construction starting in 2024.
