National Institute of Health Research Survey

A team of researchers from the NIHR Innovation Observatory are inviting us to share our view on innovative technologies to aid every day activities.

They are working on a horizon scanning project looking for technologies which can be built in, or be part of the fixtures and fittings within a residential environment, to enable people to live independently for longer.
For example, by preventing functional decline or rehabilitating function back to previous levels. By functional decline they mean decrease in physical and/or, cognitive functioning that allows a person to engage in activities of daily living (ADLs) such as washing themselves, sitting down and standing up or cooking.

Please share your own views and experiences by completing this short survey, which should take around 15 minutes and will close on 1st March at 12 noon.

Information

Royal Mail Stamps

This is a reminder that the old style postage stamps can still be used until the end of July 2023, but you really should be using the bar-coded stamps now.
If you have a surplus of old style stamps, and are not likely to use them before the expiry date, you can still exchange them.
This can only be done by post and you will need to print off a form (or ask at the Post Office for one) and send the form and old stamps away as soon as possible. Make sure you keep a copy of the form and the stamp value and take your envelope to the post office, they will provide you with a receipt.
Don't lose out as you will receive back by return new bar-coded stamps at the current value.
Apparently there is currently a delay in processing this, so be prepared to wait longer than expected.
