When I say we, I mean me, and when I say me, I mean Lines by Leon, and when I say Lines by Leon, I mean the newsletter.
Let me explain. I am switching email hosts. Up to now, all the newsletters have come from Mailchimp, but I was informed that my free account subscriber threshold will be changing.
They used to allow up to 1000 subscribers and and now it will only be 500 subscribers. Which means, since my newsletter is so popular, I will have to pay a monthly fee. As an indie author, that's another expense I can do without so I am going to go with MailerLite, which has a 1000 subscriber free account.
How will this affect you, you ask? It shouldn't. I don't think you will notice much of a difference in the newsletter delivery, but I'm sure there will be a few kinks on my end since I will have to learn a whole new platform.
Why make a book trailer for a one-year old book? Well, it's fun to do other creative things, and since book three is out in April, readers need to know about book one and two.
Reviews
It's been a while since I received reviews of my poetry books, so I'll share two recent ones: February 6, 20234 out of 5 stars Lines by Leon by Leon Stevens is a delightful collection full of humorous poems.
There was a wide range of poems that were short but sweet. It was a truly uplifting collection that really makes you smile. Just by reading this collection, I can tell Leon has a great sense of humour and you can really feel his personality coming through in the poems. Whilst I don’t know Leon, I feel I do through his poetry, if that makes sense. It was a fantastic read. February 4, 20234.4 out of 5 stars A Wonder of Words by Leon Stevens is a unique poetry collection – absolutely nothing like I’ve ever read before but in a good way.
It was almost like a diary, with little notes before poems and there were even illustration throughout which were beautiful touches. I found it really interesting because at the top of most of the poems the author tells us why they wrote that particular poem and when which just puts the entire thing into perspective. I felt this made the poems even more meaningful. The notes helped you get to know the author even more and were so interesting to read. If you can’t tell, I really loved this unique aspect! They added so much to the overall book.
If you have read any of my books, I would appreciate if you could leave a short review on any of these sites: Amazon, BookBub, and/or Goodreads. Reviews allow authors to increase readership and sales. This is especially important to new authors. I appreciate your support. You can also recommend my books to others.
