Dear Friends and Art Lovers,

As you know by now, my art practice is largely dedicated to social justice activism. I call myself an artivist because I aim to create work that has the potential to impact change towards a more equitable society. My goal is:

  • To inspire viewers to reflect and take action

  • To use my practice to reflect on my own actions and personal growth so that I can show up more fully, with empathy, and perspective in the most pressing social justice battles of our era.

The projects I have been developing for the coming year lean heavily into my personal reflection, and I am excited to share how I have been returning to my memories and my history to help fuel new bodies of work.

Thanks for being with me on this journey, as always, I would love to hear your thoughts and welcome your comments.

Studio Updates

This wall in my studio has not been blank since at least 2020, before the pandemic, before I began working on my last solo show, Humanity Is Not A Spectator Sport, before George Floyd was murdered, before the world changed forever.

To me, this is an image of space to think, to process, and to begin anew. I am using this space to ask myself hard questions about what art activism means to me what it looks like. What it means to be a Jewish artist. What it is that I can and must say through my work because no one else can.

Stay tuned…

Upcoming Project

Deeply Rooted: Faith in Reproductive Justice

Coming to the Kniznick Gallery at Brandeis University this Fall

I am very excited to be curating a ground-breaking exhibition featuring an international group of womxn artists creating artwork that addresses Faith in Reproductive Justice. Created in partnership with the Hadassah-Brandeis Institute, the exhibition will explore how each artist draws from their religious faith, ethnic background, personal histories, and convictions to uncover nuanced cultural experiences of bodily autonomy within diverse communities.

Stay tuned as this project develops over the coming months!
