LENT DEVOTIONS
As an addition to our Toolbox Options for this term, during Lent we are encouraging everyone to use a 40-day devotional guide by LICC called ‘The CONFIDENCE Devotional Journey.’
With a tagline of ‘Sunday confidence on Monday morning’, this resource is designed to help Christians grow deep, lasting faith-confidence which goes beyond worshipping together on Sundays into the week, so we can all make a difference with Jesus in daily life.
Throughout Lent, we’ll explore six key ways we can grow in confidence in our faith, and reflect on six true stories of how Christians today have seen God helping them live out their faith more confidently.
Each day features a short reflection and a prayer prompt, both responding to a Bible verse. Because Sundays in Lent are traditionally set aside for reflecting as gathered church, there are no prompts on Sundays.
The readings start on Ash Wednesday, which is 22 February, and run through to Easter Day.
