HI HIKERS
On Monday February 13th, we will once again try to hike the War Eagle Trail at Withrow Springs State park. Linda Harris will lead the hike. The weather didn't cooperate last time and there is currently a strong possibility that we may be rained out.
AllTrails considers this a moderately challenging in and out. With the portion of the trail closed down to the creek, I would consider it an easy loop. There is a short in an out to a spectacular overlook above the creek.
Given the short distance down to the Trailhead on 23 highway, we'll plan to leave from the Hart's parking lot at 10:00 am.
We'll let you know by 8:00 am if the weather chooses to intervene again.

FRIENDS OF THE BARN - HELP WANTED
Friends of the Barn is a nonprofit organization in Holiday Island, Arkansas. Our purpose is to Promote Preservation & Utilization of the “Historic Barn” at Holiday Island through community & group participation. Friends of the Barn (FOB) also hold community-oriented fund-raising events to benefit the “Barn” & to raise funds which will be used for Barn enhancements to benefit our community gatherings.
If you would like to be a committee member or would care to volunteer for functions, the contact information is listed below. We may once in awhile participate in other functions that take place here at Holiday Island.
At this time, we are seeking to fill a secretarial position for the FOB Organization, anyone interested please contact Christine Elwood at (479) 244-6452 or email me at christineelwood0651@gmail.com.
Our meetings & events are usually held twice a year, usually no more than one hour or 1.5 hours long.
