Parent-Teacher conferences were a huge success this week. This time to connect with parents and teachers is incredibly valuable and we appreciate your support in your child’s academic journey.

Wrestling is underway with 30 students participating. The first wrestling meet is scheduled for Monday, February 13 at Altona Middle School.

Soaring Heights and the Encouraging Robotics in Education (E.R.I.E.) Foundation is hosting the VEX IQ Tournament on Saturday, February 11th from 9:30 am - 3:00 pm. Soaring Heights will host 60 teams from across the state to compete in this year's VEX IQ Slapshot Challenge.  Elementary and middle school students will work collaboratively within their divisions to be named Tournament Champions.  Throughout the day students will also drive and program robots to independently achieve the highest possible combined score to be crowned Skills Champion.  Engineering notebooks will be reviewed and interviews will be conducted by our team of Judge volunteers to award the overall, highest recognition, the Excellence Award.

Attendance and behavior are critical parts of your child’s success in school. Please talk with your students about the importance of being on time and ready to learn when class starts as well as reviewing the code of conduct for Soaring Heights PK8. Our community is stronger together.

The traffic signal lights are working at our main entrance.  Please be sure to drop off your students in the hug-n-go lanes only and exit the vehicle on the curb side only.  Please refrain from dropping off students in the parking lot or from the driver side so we avoid students crossing any traffic.

As always, it is a joy and pleasure to be a part of the Soaring Heights’ community and your partnership and contributions are sincerely appreciated.

Valentine's Day Celebrations

We are looking forward to our Valentine's Day Celebrations on Tuesday.  Our classroom celebrations will be about an hour long and may have healthy (store bought only) snacks.  Please see communication from teachers for the time of day for your classroom celebration.  Each class may have up to 5 volunteers.
***SAFETY REMINDER***

Our students' safety is a top priority.  Please have your student exit your vehicle from the curb side only in the main drive line or kindergarten drive line.  Also, please do not drop off students in the parking lot. Please use the hug-n-go lane.  This will prevent students from having to cross moving traffic.

Our new light at the main entrance is up and working.  Thank you to all of our families for your patience during the transition time.
Dear Students, Parents, Community Members and Business Partners,

  • 6:00-7:30 p.m. at the Innovation Center of St. Vrain Valley Schools
  • Presented by Dr. Shelly Mahon
  • Description: The world has changed for a variety of reasons over the last few years, but one thing remained the same – our ability to be resilient. While the challenges we’ve faced can cause fear and worry, they also create opportunities to build resilience in ways we have not been exposed to in the past. Almost a half a century of research tells us that parents/caregivers are the number one source of a child’s resilience. So, what does that look like and how do you create that environment? In this interactive conversation, we will explore what resilience looks like for you, your child, and your family. We will address myths and dig into specific strategies that leave you empowered to go home and apply what you’ve uncovered and learned. You will see that resilience is in each and every one of us, it simply needs to be grown and nurtured.
