From Dr. Wente: join us in celebrating Founders Day

“Please join us for Wake Forest Founders Day on Thursday, Feb. 16, at 4 p.m. in Wait Chapel. Together as we mark Wake Forest’s 189th year, our celebration includes the annual senior oration, musical performances, and a special commemorative reading of excerpts from a speech made by Provost Emeritus Ed Wilson (’43) on Founders Day, 1992. We also will award the University’s most prestigious honor, the Medallion of Merit, to Reid Morgan (’75, JD ’79), a most distinguished University and Law School alumnus with four decades of administrative service and leadership to his alma mater. I hope to see you for this powerful connection of our past, present and future.”

Important academic dates

  • For undergraduates, the last day to drop full-term classes and the last day to change from letter grade to pass/fail in an approved full-term class is Tuesday, Feb. 14. The last day to change from pass/fail to a letter grade in an approved first part-of-term class is Thursday, Feb. 16.
    • Students can drop via the Registration Portal; no approvals are required. The system will not allow students to drop below 12 hours, though.
    • Requests to change grade mode do require approvals of the adviser and instructor. All approvals must be received by the published deadline.
  • Graduate and professional school students should consult the academic calendar for their school or program.
