Greetings Friends,

Save the date, Friends! We're getting back into hosting events and will have an open house at Synapsis in Eureka on Wednesday March 29. Stay tuned for details!

Speaking of fun events with all our fish-head friends, California Trout's Eel River Forum reconvened last month in Fortuna. It was heartwarming to once again gather with some of the many people who care about the future of the Eel River. We're going to accomplish great things together. Click here to learn more about the Eel River Forum, or join us for the next meeting in Covelo on April 4.

Next month, the Great Redwood Trail Agency will hold the first of many community meetings for the Trail Master Plan. Since the Master Plan process began in October, more than 300 people have participated in the online survey, are you one of them?

The master plan will identify how the Great Redwood Trail can create overlapping social, environmental, and economic benefits. Graphic from the Great Redwood Trail Agency.

An Economic Benefits Assessment estimates that the trail could generate $62 million in annual tourism spending. Trail towns along the right-of-way have an incredible opportunity to embrace the trail as a sustainable economic resource. See below for details about the upcoming community meetings in March.
