Hi, Reckless ones

A chance tweet by Craig Smith pondered the question, Why isn't there a tribute band called Leo Slayer? I duly obliged with a cover of 'You Make Me Feel Like Growling' in the style of the shouty metallists. Strepsils were required after this much shrieking. See Leo Slayer.

As the news continues to irk, I have now been reduced to posting up topical pictures with merely a tenuous link to the actual songs they illustrate in order to draw attention to said songs. Thus, Liz Truss's latest embarrassment was used as the pic to represent a track from the Under Age album - 'You're Really Showing Me Up.'

Of course, plain old repeats are also still relevant and, handily, John Cleese's plan to reboot Fawlty Towers was the trigger to repost 'And Now For Something Completely Stupid.'

Then, the appointment of 3p Lee Anderson as Tory Deputy Chairman was the excuse for posting his picture atop the old 'We Are The Undead' from the Wraith Rovers album. It was also accompanied by a video of him grooving along to The Kunts's 'F*ck The Tories' song.

So you can now plainly see my new strategy of 'If I've got an old song whose title fits with a news story, I'll just plonk that up instead of having to come up with something new, unless I am utterly compelled to do so.' This leaves me time to spend on the continuing Diary Of A Musical Nobody, chapter two of which, Macedonia, is now on Bandcamp. The original recordings are still being continually added here
