The Living Lectionary: A Bible Reading Companion Guide (Year A - Volume I)
As we begin the year of 2023, we once again find ourselves at the beginning of another cycle of the Lectionary — a series of weekly Scripture passages intended to guide the weekly preaching and reflections of the church over a period of three years. And so, in an effort to guide the reading and reflections of our church congregation, we have assembled this First Volume of “The Living Lectionary: A Bible Reading Companion Guide”, a resource of devotional materials that coincide with the readings for the first several weeks of Year A of the Lectionary.

Printed copies of the guide will be available in the Sanctuary foyer starting this Sunday; but you can download an electronic version by clicking the button below.

You may also notice that there are two weekly podcast offerings in connection with the Living Lectionary series. You can access those podcast recordings, as well as recordings of our weekly worship services on our church website:

"The Living Lectionary" Companion Guide
Now through April 26, join us each week for all our church mid-week offerings on Wednesday Nights from 5:30-8pm. First, dinner is served in the Friendship Plaza from 5:30-6:30pm ($5 & $7 plates), with church programming for all ages taking place afterwards from 6:30-8pm!

We hope you can join us for this wonderful mid-week time of community fellowship and learning!
Last week, we held the first session in our new Adult U series: Practicing Grief through Bonsai. These workshops include education Wendy Kessler (Grief Specialist) and Dave Adey (Designer), with additional insight from Diane Anderson (Botanist), as well as the opportunity to create your own bonsai tree to cultivate at home.

We often think of grief as merely an emotional process that must simply be endured until it passes. But grief is an active process that we can learn to navigate with agency. In this 3-week class, we will explore how we can engage in our grief process through the physical practice of Bonsai.

This course will meet for two more weeks, on February 15 and March 1, in Bowes Conference Room from 6:30pm-8:00pm.
