Principal Mia's Rules for the Week of Feb. 13th

iReady

Winter iReady results will be sent home with your students today.

AACA administers the iReady reading and math diagnostic to students in grades K-8 at the beginning, middle, and end of the year.  Teachers use the results to inform instruction, determine individual student needs, and monitor progress throughout the year.   The results are also used by our academic student support team as one data point to help determine if a student requires additional academic support in math and/or reading.  iReady is an online adaptive assessment, meaning that it adjusts the questions to suit each student's needs.  The purpose of administering this diagnostic is not to give a score or grade, but to help teachers determine how best to support each student's learning.  Student results for iReady will be sent home today.

Please reach out to your child's teacher if you have any questions.  For additional information, you may also contact Lori Deighan at ldeighan@alphonsusacademy.org for grades K-3, Alisa Carroll at acarroll@alphonsusacademy.org for grades 4-6, or Jenny Hayes at jhayes@alphonsusacademy.org for grades 5-8.
