"One day in early October, I drove by the Coffee Bazaar and saw the building’s owner putting the FOR RENT sign in the window. Having worked in the restaurant business for 20 + years and having degrees in English and Creative Writing, a bookstore made sense. I took the leap and opened Russian River Books & Letters in December of 2021. 
 
 The goal was to create a space which could serve both the community and tourists equally. We do much more than sell books. Each Monday we hold a free ESL class for non-native speakers who want to learn or brush up on their English speaking skills. Events are also an important part of our mission. There are a plethora of talented writers, poets, and artists in the Bay Area and we have been honored to host many of them in the store. We also host an Open Mic night on the first Saturday of the month in partnership with Coffee Bazaar for anyone who wants to share their work, whether it be poetry, fiction, music, or theater. This journey has  turned out to be so much more than I expected. It has been extremely rewarding being able to be of service to the community and to meet so many interesting people from both the Russian River and around the world. If you haven’t come in yet, stop by. You can even write a letter on one of our typewriters and I’ll give you a complimentary stamped envelope to mail it! We are open everyday from 10-5 with extended hours during the summer and holidays. We will order any book for you and we even deliver for free from Forestville to the coast!"
