A $3,000 rebate is available now to all Class A permit holders in the NSW oyster industry. The rebate is not available for long and closes on the 1st May 2023.
The rebate is a two-part process, involving Part A) Pre-approval, and Part 2) Rebate claim. I’d really encourage all permit holders to please fill out the Part A) Pre-approval as soon as you can, so your project can be given the green light - giving you as much time as possible to complete the work. The form is available here, and I look forward to seeing all your application forms flowing in over the next couple of weeks!
The rebate is linked to the OceanWatch Responsible Oyster Farmer Training Program which needs to be completed before the rebate can be claimed, but this training is free, can be completed online, in your own time, and will take about 4-5 hours in total. So, in anyone’s books, investing those 4-5 hours is well worth it, considering you’ll get $3,000 back at the end. This is a great opportunity for every permit holder to get a $3,000 rebate, maybe on work you’ve already got planned.
If you have any questions about the rebate program, please contact Andy Myers from NSW Farmers Association on 0488 656 366 or email Myersa@nswfarmers.org.au.
