Dear ILC Asia Members,
We are looking for 12 passionate and inspiring young people from within ILC Asia to join a learning opportunity on the topic of the inclusion of women/youth/ marginalized groups in securing tenure rights. We hope this could be of interest to you!
The Asia Regional Learning Exchange on Social Inclusiveness and Youth will take place in Indonesia from May 29 to June 2, 2023, and is co-organized by the Coalition for Tenure Justice in Indonesia, the Tenure Facility, the International Land Coalition (ILC) and the Samdhana Institute. For more information, please refer to the attached event concept note.
Priority will be given to ILC members that meet one or more of the below criteria:
- A young person between 18 - 35 years of age, working/volunteering with an ILC member organization
- Participation in ILC initiatives (Fellowship program, GLFY, National Land Coalitions/NLCs, regional platforms, youth advisory group, Women 4 Women Mentoring Network, etc.)
- Experience in youth leadership, access to land, sustainable production, systems reforestation, and advocacy for sustainable development
- Availability, interest and commitment to be part of the Asian youth reference group
- Being a new member of the ILC
We are inviting you to submit an Expression of Interest to attend the event by sending us a motivation letter (not more than 300 words), with the following guidelines:
- Tell us why you should go to the event
- Tell us how you would apply the knowledge and skills gained from the event to the youth work of your respective organization, to the NLC platform, or regionally
Please use the attached template to submit your application, acknowledging the criteria, and send it to asia@landcoalition.info, copying Navela at navela@landcoalition.info, by Monday, 13 March 2023.
