    Through our monthly updates, I like to share about some of the challenges that we face as we serve in a hindu context. One of the many hindrances to the gospel is the freedom hinduism provides to its followers. Not true freedom that is only found in Christ but the freedom to live how you want with no shame, guilt or consequences. This manmade religion glorifies things the worldly man wants to be glorified. It focuses on physical pleasures this world has to offer. Even death is not an end to this pursuit as the lie of reincarnation is taught and believed in this pagan religion. The Bible teaches that to follow Christ we must die to self and surrender all worldly pursuit for spiritual gain. Please pray with us that people would see the lies of hinduism and turn to the truth of God’s Word. We are so thankful that you pray for us. We would not be here without your faithfulness in prayer. I hope that as you read our updates you are able to pray with more understanding for the ministry here. 

    One effort to confront this challenge is our weekly kids’ club at church where we teach the truth of God’s Word to the children in our area. We made a Bible memorization workbook that they work through to earn a t-shirt and badges. It brings us so much joy to hear these kids speak about the love and life that is available in Christ. Pray with us that these seeds will produce fruit to the glory of God. 

    God has given us the privilege of blessing a Christian widow in our area who we call “Grandma.” She used to come to our church when we first started but has not been able to walk to services because of her health. She has faithfully followed Christ for many years! Praise the Lord for the work that he has been doing here in Nepal and for allowing us to be a part of serving in his great work!

    This month we also got to celebrate Jolynn’s 11th birthday! God has been so good as we have seen her receive Christ and follow the Lord in believer’s baptism this past year. Pray with us that God would continue to work in her life in a special way.
