Premier appointed to run PR for the Edinburgh International Festival
|
|

We are pleased to announce that Premier will this year be running the PR Campaign for the Edinburgh International Festival, alongside our friends at Corner Shop PR. Premier will be bringing together a team of experts from across the agency to work on the project, including specialists in classical music, opera, contemporary music, theatre, and dance. The Edinburgh International Festival is one of the world’s most prestigious multi-arts cultural events and runs for three weeks in August. The 73rd Berlin Film Festival
|
|
|
The 73rd Berlin Film Festival took place between 16-26 February, during which a team of eight relocated to the German capital to represent six feature films. Three of the films played in Berlin’s competition: A24’s Sundance hit PAST LIVES, and German titles SOMEDAY WE WILL TELL EACH OTHER EVERYTHING, and TILL THE END OF THE NIGHT, for which actor Thea Ehre won the Silver Bear for best performance in a supporting role. Elsewhere we handled SISI & I in Panorama, THE CAGE IS LOOKING FOR A BIRD in Encounters, and soon to be cult-favourite TALK TO ME in Berlinale Special. This inventive Australian horror from Youtubers Danny and Michael Philippou wowed at Sundance and secured an A24 release in the US.

Fender unveil collaboration with heavy metal royalty, Mastodon’s Troy Sanders

Earlier this week we announced the launch of Fender’s Troy Sanders Precision Bass®, marking its second collaboration with Mastodon’s visionary singer, songwriter and bassist. The synthesis of these two monolithic forces is cause for celebration amongst not only metal fans, but musicians everywhere. Kerrang! Radio, the UK’s biggest rock radio station, interviewed Troy to celebrate the release of his new bass.

Jamie Dornan-starring hit show The Tourist announces second series

This week we announced the return of Two Brothers Pictures hit BBC drama The Tourist. Jamie Dornan and Danielle Macdonald head to Ireland for the second series, which begins shooting in Dublin this April. Click here to find out more about our work on series one.

The stars come out for Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania UK premiere
|

|
Premier managed the full production and event management for the Multimedia Screening and UK Gala screening of Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania which was released in cinemas on February 17. The event was attended by stars including Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly.

Royal Philharmonic Society Awards winners announced
|
|
|
This week Premier clients Manchester Camerata and Warner Classics artist Abel Selaocoe (pictured) both took home wins at the prestigious Royal Philharmonic Society Awards. Manchester Camerata picked up the Storytelling Award for their powerful and moving film Untold – Keith, a representation of their extensive work with those suffering from dementia. Abel Selaocoe won the Instrumentalist Award for his innovative compositions, inspiring performances and electrifying debut album, Where Is Home/Hae Ke Ke. You can get to know Abel’s music here.

New feature length drama Men Up coming soon to BBC One
|
|
|
This week we announced a new feature-length drama, Men Up for Quay Street Productions and Boom. Written by Matthew Barry and Executive Produced by Russell T Davies, Men Up stars Iwan Rheon, Aneurin Barnard, Alexandra Roach, Phaldut Sharma, Paul Rhys, Steffan Rhodri, Mark Lewis Jones and Joanna Page. Inspired by the remarkable true story of one of the world's first medical trials for the drug that became Viagra, Men Up will air on BBC One later this year.
