Are You Ready for DRILLERSFEST?!

Tulsa is ready for baseball! The Tulsa Drillers will host DrillersFest 2023 on Saturday, March 11, from 10 AM-2 PM at ONEOK Field. DrillersFest is a free, inaugural event for the team's upcoming season and will have fun activities for fans of all ages. You can even catch a guided, behind-the-scenes stadium tour beginning at 11 AM and noon!
The Kids Zone and several inflatable play stations will be open, and Drillers mascot Hornsby will be available for photos. A face painter and a balloon artist will be located near the entrance to the newly remodeled Team Store. Hiland Dairy will serve free ice cream samples, while Dead Armadillo Brewery will offer free beer samples for fans 21+.
All-season ticket holders will have the opportunity to receive information and items from their membership packages, plus fans can buy individual tickets for any home game in the 2023 season, including Opening Night! The event will include live baseball as a pair of local high school teams — Oologah and Catoosa — will play at ONEOK Field beginning at 1 PM.

You might have already heard that Mayfest is returning May 12-14, 2023, for its 50th anniversary arts festival in Downtown Tulsa, thanks to The University of Tulsa! Yay! If you're a local artist, we have more good news! Even with the great response, Mayfest volunteers and TU have learned that the news of Mayfest 2023 is still reaching some. So, their amazing volunteers have agreed to extend the application deadline for local artists until Friday, March 10. Apply today!

Don't Miss Curbside Haiku Poetry Night

Mark your calendar for Curbside Haiku Poetry Night on Thursday, March 23! Join us to recognize the winners of the 2023 Curbside Haiku poetry contest and the work of this year's Curbside Haiku artist, Dawn Tree. Guest poets will include Dr. John Andrews from the Honors College at Oklahoma State University and Dr. Todd Fuller from the University of Oklahoma. Light refreshments will be served. This free, public event is 4:30-6 PM at the Woody Guthrie Center!

DTP President Named Achiever Under 40

Brian Kurtz, Downtown Tulsa Partnership's President and CEO, was recently named to The Journal Record's 2023 "Achievers Under 40." He's one of 45 honorees from across the state to be recognized for their civic and volunteer contributions on May 11 at the Oklahoma History Center. Joe Dowd, Editor of The Journal Record, said, "It’s remarkable to see so much burgeoning talent with Oklahoma’s young professionals." Congrats, Brian! We're so proud of you.
